Bustamante Pueblo mágico

Tour description:
The Tour Guide will go to the meeting point at the agreed time. And from there we started the route. We can make a first stop to have Monterrey-style tacos for breakfast.

We will head north of the city of Monterrey to take the road to the municipality of Bustamante, with an approximate time of 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The first stop is made to visit the "Mezcalera La Guadalupana" to taste the varietals of mezcal that are made in this place.

We will visit the main square of the magical town where you can take photos in the giant letters of "Bustamante" and enter the church of "San Miguel Arcángel" and see its architecture and gardens.

We will arrive at the "Museum of Living Memory" (open from Friday to Sunday) where there is a permanent exhibition of the history of the town, its Tlaxcalan roots and the exhibition room of the trades and emblematic characters of the community.

We will go to the mountain to discover the "Grutas de Bustamante", where there will be a tour inside the caves. Entering through a 100-meter tunnel to begin the 400-meter tour in a fully illuminated walkway accessible to anyone and with wheelchair access. There you will be able to appreciate the wonder of nature, the stalactites and stalagmites with an age of more than 60 million years. All this in the company of a local guide who will explain the history of its discovery and other characteristics of the place.


At the end of the tour we will go to the "Boca de Leones Canyon" where we will have the opportunity to observe the source of the water, in the "Bustamante River", upon reaching the "Ojo de Agua San Lorenzo".

To finish we will make the last stop at the "Panadería la Superior" where artisan bread is made, baked in a stone oven with mesquite firewood. There you can buy bread and chat a little with Mr. Lázaro and his family who have preserved this tradition for many years.

At the end we will return by the same route, to the starting point.
